Band Member Profiles:

Jo Lee - lead vocals

Not quite born in a suitcase but she had an early call to the stage. Working for the likes of Cameron Mackintosh and Bill Kenwright, Jo has played leading roles in the West End and on tour in some of the biggest musicals including Les Miserables, Oliver and Grease. She has also supported many of the UK’s top touring stars and is in demand as a singing teacher and voice artist.

Gary Kenton - lead vocals/guitar

Picked up a guitar age 9, and never looked back. From Stage Musicals to having his own band, Gary had a contract from RCA in the 80s. Gary is a prolific songwriter and has had songs used and played all over the world.

Martin Donald - lead guitar/vocals

Played his first pro gig at the age of 15 in the London Savoy Hotel Dance Band and has spent his working life playing ever since. Martin’s CV is exstensive and he played guitar for many top Motown stars. He was also the MD of the Drifters thru the 70s and 80s.

Allen Murray - keyboards, tambourine, vocals

Allen has had a high flying career both on and off the stage. His performing debut came whilst in the RAF on guitar, where he played functions in the officer's mess. After graduating to piloting lightning fast jets, he played music all over the world keeping the moral of his colleagues up. On leaving the RAF took to flying in the commercial sector. Moving to key's Allen 'The Baron' Murray has played all over the world, mainly on the country circuit including 'Billy Bob's Honky Tonk in Texas! His love of Status Quo keeps him sane (allegedly) and he is currently 2/3rds of the way through his law degree, to go alongside the two other degrees he already has. A published author with tales of his time flying high and of his distrust of helicopters he brings a wealth of experience and fun to Ready Steady Go.

Trevor White - bass guitar/vocals

“Chalkie” (how original!!) was born to play bass. He had his first stand up bass at 14, and only switched to his beloved “Fender” when his double bass fell of the roof of his car on the way back from a gig!

Trevor is a veteran of the London music scene being the go to guy when a bass player was needed. Having worked with Ashford and Simpson and Kid Creole and the Coconuts, as well as Touring with top Folk and Country acts.

Duncan Hill - drums

Had his first drum kit at age 12 and never looked back, spending his entire career behind the drums on the Essex and East London music circuit. His first drum kit and drum lesson came from Dr Feelgood’s the big figure!! Duncan went to school with Gary but didn’t join forces with him until the mid nineties, and they have spent the last 15 years together in various bands.
